For entry into Iran, Swiss nationals need a visa with a coloured passport photo in the format 4 × 3 cm. The passport photo should as far as possible not older than 6 months. Up to a few exceptions the biometric requirements apply as they also apply to all identity documents in the Switzerland. It is important to have a neutral facial expression and a monochrome light background.
